Using the DiPAgE-PWA informational and documentation platform does not require any active transmission of personal data to our servers. This application follows a "Privacy by Design" approach: all agricultural and plant protection logs you create remain exclusively inside your web browser on your local end device.

3. Web Hosting & Server Log Files
When you visit our website, our server infrastructure automatically collects technical deployment data transmitted by your browser:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL (previously visited site)
- Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
- Date and time of the server request
Purpose & Legal Basis: This processing is technically mandatory to deliver the website content and protect server security. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. e GDPR in conjunction with Section 3 BDSG (performance of a public task for federal research mandates).
Retention Period: Log data is stored for IT security diagnostics for a maximum of 14 days and is automatically deleted or anonymized afterward.
4. Local Storage on Your Device (Local Storage & IndexedDB)
To make this application offline-capable and maintain your visual settings, our platform saves preferences client-side. None of this data is sent to the JKI.
- UI Preferences: We store your preferred language (
lang) and layout theme (light/dark mode) in your browser'slocalStorage. - Application Data (PWA): If you execute the progressive application modules, application records, Invekos IDs, and location details are held entirely in a secure local database (
IndexedDB) on your smartphone or PC.
Legal Basis: Local storage operations are executed under Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG. These storage accesses are strictly necessary to fulfill your explicitly requested user commands (accessibility preferences and offline database functionalities).
5. External API Calls
To fetch dynamic plant protection parameters and match EPPO codes, the application queries our backend Synops API system (synops.julius-kuehn.de). To resolve postal codes for the location picker, it queries nominatim.openstreetmap.org. To display map tiles and official field-block boundaries in the field-geometry picker, it queries the JKI GeoServer and OpenStreetMap/Esri tile servers. While making any of these lookups, your IP address is processed temporarily by the relevant service to return the correct data. No user profile mapping or permanent database tracking takes place.

6. Data Export (Email Interface)
The app features an automated backup data sharing module. When triggered, a client-side mailto: process instructs your system's default mailing tool to draft a submission layout. File packaging and transmission remain entirely under your manual command.
7. Your Statutory Rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) regarding network connection metrics. Since your operational data is stored locally, you can clear it anytime by deleting your browser cache.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent entity for JKI is the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI).
