What is DiPAgE?
DiPAgE is a free, privacy-first Progressive Web App (PWA) developed by the Julius Kühn-Institut (JKI) — Germany's Federal Research Centre for Cultivated Plants. It is designed for farmers, farm managers, and anyone required to keep legally compliant plant protection records.
Offline first — ready even without signal
DiPAgE is built to work without an internet connection: recording, editing, and reviewing entries all work fully offline, whether you are in a greenhouse, on a remote field, or in an area with no signal. Crop data and emergency authorizations are also available locally from your last sync. Only the live product search, usage-condition lookup, and the field map picker need a connection — and those fields can always be filled in by hand in the meantime. All data is stored exclusively in the browser on your own device. No server holds your records, and no login is required.
Privacy without compromise
DiPAgE follows a Privacy by Design approach: your records never leave the device unless you actively choose to export them. There are no user accounts, no telemetry, and no hidden data transfers. You retain full control over your farm data at all times.
Exports on demand
For audits or regulatory inspections, DiPAgE generates exports in PDF, CSV, and JSON, plus an Excel-compatible spreadsheet (SpreadsheetML) that can be re-imported — including your operator details. The fields it records follow what Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/564 sets out for plant protection records.
